Can anyone think of anything cool to do with a 33 MHZ 486 DX processor? I've got one here and there must be some use for it. Badge? Platform for a bonsai plantpot? anything?

Further to grafs enlightening words on java, please note the following. Every executable (.exe) file for MSDOS, Windows 95 or Windows NT should start with an MZ as the first two octets (sorry - 'bytes' for you non-networking people). EG:

MZ @ !L!This program

These are apparently the initials of the programmer of MSDOS.

I did some research into Starfleet last night and found out that Queen did a cover of the theme tune. I downloaded it as a mp3 and the memories flooded back. Nearly brought a tear to my eye.
BTW, while I was looking around I found some other great sites. Anybody remember Chorsten & the Wheelies, with Fennella the witch that lived in a kettle in the sky? I also found a site with a whole "BOD" episose on!
Oh, the joys .....

Does anybody remember a program that was on ITV 83-84 and again on Central 1989. it was called StarFleet and was a puppet based show that was Japanese with English voice-over. It was called X-bomber or something in France/Italy or something. There was the DAI-X - all the goodie's spaceships came together and made a big robot (way before powerangers!). The badie was Commander Macara who had another minature face where her left eye should have been. it also had a rock based theme-tune if I remember. It used to be on about 4pm on a Sunday arvo. Does anybody else remember this show!! Please say yes because everybody else I've spoken to doesn't and I am worried about my sanity.

Cheers,
