Good old Monty Python!

On a wander around some local villages today, I was passing through the graveyard of an old church. As one tends to do, I found myself reading a couple of the headstones. One particular headstone really stood out to me - it included the enscription "Always Look on the Bright Side". I couldn't help but smile. I didn't know anything about the lady in question, but I'd instantly formed for myself a lovely image of a fun loving optimistic person with a great sense of humour. I know this song always cheers me up! So here goes, altogether now!

Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you're chewing your life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle,
And this'll help things turn out for the best,
And.....

Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistling]

If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.

On this particular occasion I was with my Mum. Generally though, yea I would be cool. I'm trying to get at least one walk in a week, partly for a little bit of exercise, and partly to explore a bit. So yea, next time I'll give you a call...
