Super HeroesPosted on 2003/07/31 10:37:57 (July 2003) by john. A little bit of artistic nostalgia...
Whilst looking through some old files salvaged from my Reading uni PC, I came across mine and Rob's bizarre project to attempt to characterise our friends as superheroes.
It only got as far as basically the people who were sitting with us at the time, but amazingly three years on I still know them all so it still seems relevant.
Anyway, I've neatened it up a bit and put it on the web.
If you're interested, then go and take a look at Rob and John's Super Heroes.

I did that once ... my best invention was "Ambiguous Man". He was gonna be kind-of ambiguous (at first) but after a brief public consultation persiod, it was felt that it would be more amusing if it was ambiguous whether he was a man or not. And so my superhero was created. He has a side-kick called "SideKick(TM)" (of course). Whenever danger was near, whenever evil was about to strike, Ambiguous Man would fail to save the day due to having torn a nail, laddered a stocking or broken a tall heel. Unfortunate, really ... but that's life, eh?

Oh, and there was "Shower Man" too, who used water-hoses and bars of soap. <>

That last comment didn't post too well, maybe it was my use of angle-brackets. It was supposed to say "SWIP!" at the end (in double angle-brackets). Must be an HTML thing. :(

... of course, "SWIP!" was the cartoon-style sound-effect which went with the ... er ... "use" of a soap-bar.

I always wanted to write a comic about a super hero called Isle Of Man, but, oh never mind.
