No, I'm not drunk. I happened to catch a thirty second snippet of some crappy regional program on the telly last night, but significantly it contained a short but very important soundbyte - a middle aged women was talking about this play she'd just seen and said "It really highlighted the futility of war". It struck me that women in general really do understand this in fact, and my conclusion was to wonder why there weren't more women in a position where they could exercise good judgement like this. With women in power, the world would be a significant less violent place. Take Clare Short, the only (ok ex) member of the government that appears to have a conscience, and also happens to be one of very few women MPs. Coincidence?
...and it doesn't just stop at an appreciation of human rights and a commitment to anti-violence. Women are also generally really good with money, and at looking after their health, not to mention multi-tasking and all that. Wouldn't a predominantly female governement make a much better stab of it?
OK, on the downside there's Margaret Thatcher, but I'm secretly convinced she was actually a plant by male plotters, trying to frighten everyone off from ever voting in other female prime minister. Perhaps that whole "iron lady" epiphet was actually an insight into her true nature - she is in fact some kind of robot, a subversive plant to maintain the status quo of male domination. There - the secret's out. Oooh, who are these men in dark suits at my front door?
Anyway, that's my two-penneth. A women ruled world would be a better world.

Think of all your mates and their respected girl friends, who would you consider the more likely to start a row, get the huff or cause a scene (often one that is not necessary) - QED
