No More Adverts

We don't exist to provide free advertising space for you.

I've just had to waste a load more of my precious time removing incredibly annoying adverts for online casinos and pharmacies from the site - and it looks like the wankers have posted something on every single article in the articles section.

The comments facility exists so people can provide feedback, to encourage debate, and let people contribute in a useful and meaningful fashion to the site. It is absolutely not there to let people advertise here for free.

This is just so annoying, it is like grafitti. I don't spend all this time creating content, and not to mention the money we pay for the hosting, just so tossers can come allong and try to piggy back off that to advertise their shitty excuses for sites on the web.

I've deleted a load of these adverts manually, but this is time consuming and very annoying so I'll be making some scripts to automate the process, which will clean off crap like this on a regular basis. So I wouldn't bother posting any of that shit in future - it will just be deleted straight away.

Right, I've cleared them all off using my handy removal tool. I'm sure some idiots will start adding these irritating adverts again, but I'll be deleting them as soon as I find them.

OK well as you may be able to notice from the message above the add comment form, I've decided to just stop accepting any comments with URLs in for the time being. Let's see if this clears up the spam problems, and maybe I'll then reasess the situation at a later date.
