Dr. Debug - I oddly had a dream the other day that Debug was a small town in Utah, or maybe Wisconsin. Also, the tea drinking thing was based on the fact that I put a picture of myself on that who's who page that gave a false impression I drink tea a lot. Errr, or something.

Well I don't know about any other weird ass IDEs, but in VC++ 6, you might need to enable smart tabbing by going to Tools / Options, then choosing Tabs, make sure you've got File type selected as C/C++, and setting the Auto Indent thing to Smart. I think in my VC++ this was selected already. Then just select a block of text in one of your source files (or better still someone else's), maybe shift tab a few times if you want to flatten it out first (not sure if this makes any difference but I like it), then Alt-F8 and hey presto.

Yesterday I had the coolest most steeliest thing ever - a can of self heating coffee. It was so cyberpunk, I loved it. On the downside it was Nescafe so the coffee itself tasted like shit, and I shortly after paying for it remembered (of course) its made by Nestle who are the most evil company in the world etc etc. Still, given that apparently there's also disposable mobile phones available it makes me wonder if marketing bosses and technical innovators at all these big companies are just blatantly reading lots of William Gibson.

Getting a house is both cool an crap - at least for the first six months. You love the place, but it is not what you want - but you've got no cash to do anything about it to start with. Eventually, you begin to make back the money you spent on your deposit, legals fees and stamp duty, moving costs, new kettle, toaster and saucepan set! The world today is absolutely crackers.
With nuclear bombs to blow us all sky high.
There's fools and idiots sitting on the trigger.
It's depressing, and it's senseless, and that's why...

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They only come up to you knees,
Yet they're always friendly and they're ready to to please.

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
There's nine hundred million of them in the world today,
You'd better learn to like them, that's what I say.

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They come from a long way overseas,
But they're cute, and they're cuddly, and they're ready to please.

I like chinese food,
The waiters never are rude,
Think the many things they've done to impress,
There's maoism, taoism, I Ching and chess.

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
I like their tiny little trees,
Their zen, their ping-pong, their ying and yang-eze.

I like chinese thought,
The wisdom that Confusious taught,
If Darwin is anything to shout about,
The chinese will survive us all without any doubt.

So, I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They only come up to you knees,
Yet they're wise, and they're witty, and they're ready to please

Wo, I chumba run,
Wo, I chumba run,
Wo, I chumba run,
Ne hamma, Ne hamma, Ne hamma chi chen.

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
They're food is guaranteed to please,
A fourteen, a seven, a nine and lychees

I like chinese,
I like chinese,
I like their tiny little trees,
Their zen, their ping-pong, their yin and yang-eze

I like chinese,
I like chinese...
