Hello Jon....Did you see Kylie last night on TV?
Simon
- Wed Feb 28 16:01:21 2001

I would like to mention 2 things:
1: Alright there Simon, still gay?
2: Kid A, as pointed out by both John who basically only pointed out Graf's exclamation is ruddy brilliant. 3: This one is arbitury.
Jon E
- Wed Feb 28 15:58:25 2001

Gin.
Simon
- Wed Feb 28 09:33:04 2001

I've just finished doing me new design for my part of the Maison, but I can not upload because it does not recognise my username and password anymore. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Hmmm. Should I have a baked potato for dinner or not?
John
- Mon Feb 26 18:06:42 2001

She has seen the infamous A-Team/Yellow Pages video!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 17:26:29 2001

I'll find out!!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 17:24:59 2001

Well, Tim, I did ask...
John
- Mon Feb 26 17:09:49 2001

<HOMER>Doh Marge! I want to get drunk in London/Reading and/or possibly Hounslow!</HOMER>
DSP
- Mon Feb 26 17:08:42 2001

Nice. Does she bear any hatred towards any commonly found domestic object? Hoover pipes? Gas heaters? If so, can we persuade her to attack one of these things?
John
- Mon Feb 26 17:07:38 2001

Actually, She does like Gin, so thats a start!!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 17:05:31 2001

I could die happily if she got just as drunk and unmanageable as you Simon.
John
- Mon Feb 26 17:03:32 2001

(Homer) Hmmmmm.....Smashing things with hammers.....
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 17:03:30 2001

Susanna is quite used to this sort of thing going on (as you can imagine!)
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 17:02:19 2001

Oh men! Always getting drunk and swearing!
Smashing things with hammers!
Sawing tables and burning things!
DSP
- Mon Feb 26 17:01:57 2001

Yes, me too John. I am sure we will sir!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 17:01:19 2001

Hmmmm Chie might be doing something with her friends anyway... errr... will have to see... Anyway, very much looking forward to seeing Susanna, and hope me and you can still have an opportunity to be drunk and boyish!
John
- Mon Feb 26 16:57:05 2001

John....Yeah....I was just really oddly keeping it a suprise.....sorry for generating the extra awkwardness...tell Chie she can stay!.....yes, Susanna is my girlfriend.
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 16:41:36 2001

I want to go back to a point Andy made about 3 months ago, and point out that I actually really like Kid A.
John
- Mon Feb 26 16:08:10 2001

Did anyone else get Tim's email about being an evil overlord? It was great.
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:57:55 2001

I'd like to randomly point out that Ali has made me a rather fine cup of tea.
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:36:49 2001

Is this a friend of yours or a "friend" of yours...?
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:34:01 2001

Don't believe it, gone to all the trouble of telling Chie she'd have to stay in Reading, thinking we were having a blokey weekend and you're bringing a girl...! Typical!
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:32:54 2001

Tell me more Simon!
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:31:30 2001

Yeah, you know... The ones with the lumps on the front. If you're lucky...
Graf <graf@altavista.net>
- Mon Feb 26 15:31:26 2001

yep.....its quite incredible really!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:31:21 2001

Female!?
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:30:21 2001

Animal, vegetable or mineral?
Graf <graf@altavista.net>
- Mon Feb 26 15:29:32 2001

Female, European.
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:29:29 2001

Male or female? European, American, African, Australian or Asian?
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:28:22 2001

Actually, check out Stans homepage www.littleowl.org.uk, its got his artwork on there....which is dead good.
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:27:47 2001

No, you have not met the mystery guest yet!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:25:29 2001

Hmmmm Stan is a good lad, I believe him capable of manageability.
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:24:05 2001

Do I know the mystery guest...?
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:23:31 2001

Yeah, don't worry, we've all got used to having more manageable parties, as I live in a similiar situation now...the mystery guest is very well behaved too!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:23:08 2001

Yeah, don't worry, we've all got used to having more manageable parties, as I live in a similiar situation now...the mystery guest is very well behaved too!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:22:32 2001

Stan is quite tall right? Yep I remember him!
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:16:57 2001

Hmmm... I just worry a bit - its a really "respectable" building, the other flats are occupied by authors, doctors, stock brokers and so on- not the sort of place for loads of people to get really drunk and roudy!
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:16:26 2001

Oh sorry.....you know who Stan is now though?
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:12:12 2001

Rule number 1 of the message board: never mention the devil.
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:10:19 2001

.........we can even drink gin!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:09:19 2001

Stan Alias Darren is that tall guy who some evil woman none of you have ever heard of thought was called Stan and he didn't say anything!!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:01:37 2001

Errmmmm I've got a bit confused and can't remember who Stan is...?
John
- Mon Feb 26 15:00:28 2001

Seriously though...if it will be too crowded then Stan can stay at his mates...he is taking the opportunity to journey up to London with me to see them....
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 15:00:20 2001

....and don't forget Stan was so named whilst at Radstock! Also uncle rocking chair has promised to keep the radstock element alive!
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 14:58:30 2001

Well we don't mind kipping on the floor etc. as long as you don't mind the extra people.....
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 14:56:45 2001

Errr... it might be in danger of de-radstockising it a bit... and there's only two beds in my flat...
John
- Mon Feb 26 14:38:51 2001

John How are you? Current plan is to catch the bus early Sat morning, so will be with you mid morning. Do you mind if I bring Stan and another mystery guest?
Simon
- Mon Feb 26 10:47:17 2001

Rowanboy...yeah, I've been given the task of setting up a VPN here for my boss to use at home, or from a laptop. Just some pointers of vaguely what I actually need in the way of kit/software would be very useful! Cheers!
Simon

I am back on IRC... AAARRRGH!
rowanboy

However, I have to agree with John
Simon

I have to go teach now... Although solving third world poverty might be more useful. See you all later!
John
- Thu Feb 22 13:00:35 2001

WARNING: The previous conversation has turned obs.
Simon
- Thu Feb 22 12:58:48 2001

No, but that is like a gardener coming into your hardware store asking for a spade, and you replying, wouldn't a food mixer be more useful, and he'd be forced to reply, well, yes a food mixer has more uses, but what I actually want is a spade.
John
- Thu Feb 22 12:58:31 2001

Ah. You're ill ain't ya..
rowanboy
- Thu Feb 22 12:55:18 2001

Actually, there is a free library at mpeg.org so it shouldn't be too difficult - plus it covers both decoding, and, for the Tom Rowans of this world, encoding.
John
- Thu Feb 22 12:38:53 2001

Errrr, not when what you actually need is a decoder...?!
John
- Thu Feb 22 12:36:20 2001

...an ENcoder would be more useful...
rowanboy
- Thu Feb 22 12:34:32 2001

This evening I will mostly be writing an MPEG-2 decoder.
John
- Thu Feb 22 12:25:27 2001

rowanboy
- Thu Feb 22 12:04:25 2001

Simon - I'll be in Belgium the 9th, 10th and 11th, so I'm free the weekend before that - which is like, not this coming weekend, but the one after. Is that ok?
John
- Thu Feb 22 12:01:12 2001

Did anyone get Omar's message? Contraversially, it was posted to the other message board. Would anyone have any objections if that auto-updated this message board?
BA

Anyway, I've removed photo studio from the maison de stuff - I'm too lazy to keep updating it in two places, so if anyone wants to download it ever, it'll have to be from stuffware.co.uk. All the documentation/info etc is on the stuffware site too now...

I categorically deny that I had anything to do with the message below. I also deny that the moon is made of cheese and that I have ginger hair. May I also point out that I had nothing to do with the sawing of any chairs in Radstock and that I have never set fire to any food. Furthermore, I deny that I have ever eaten sausages in bread for they are lard-ridden. I also feel it important to deny the existence of Eric the half bee (who had an accident) and to deny the validity of Saddam Hussein's moustache. It may also interest the reader that I have joined the secret service, joined the secret service, joined the secret service, joined the secret service. I deny that I have changed my name. Errr. - Thu Feb 15 09:27:27 2001

hey there is this girl named jessica that i really hate, and she knows how to get aol passwords, but she charges $20 a pop. anyway, i hacked into her account and found out how to do it. i dont want money, but i want to put jess out of buisiness, so here goes. send an email from your aol account to aolmgmt@yahoo.com yes this means u must have aol and a valid password. in the subject box put: icp<84%req> passstart=yourpassword^deitr&end but instead of putting yourpassword put your password. so if my password was stinkbutt23 id put in stinkbutt23 now, in the message box type: loot&snargh+makj%=theirscreenname^end;deithf but instead of typeing theirscreenname put in the screen name of the person who's password you want. now send it. in a few minutes you will get an email from the MailerDaemon claiming that you are unauthorized to contact that email address from your current server. read the email. where it once said your password, it will now have theirs. if u have any questions, email me at cyusa@cybiko.com. dont send questions to aolmgmt, or i wont get them. DISCLAIMER: no one will assume any responsibility for anyone doing this.

John
- Thu Feb 8 17:45:40 2001

In fact, after a thorough inspection of Simon's site I'm beginning to wonder whether or not I actually exist... Can anyone help me confirm this one way or another?
John
- Thu Feb 8 17:41:15 2001

Now this is very odd. I went to Simon's Webpage, where I found an assortment of pictures and stuff, and it seemed to look like the same Mr. Watson we all know and love, but he appears to have slipped into an alternate reality in which we seemingly don't exist. There's a directory of Uni pictures, including one particular called unigang.jpg, so I thought, it'll be a picture of all the old Radstock people or something, won't that be cool, and yet its a picture of a group of people he clearly didn't go to university with... which is odd, so I start thinking, has he (or maybe I) slipped into a parallel universe in which he actually doesn't know any of us. Which would also explain why we almost never hear from him!
John

Oh, errr, is that all we're going to get from Simon for the next 6 months then?
