The Day Before the Weddng
Friday 7th August 2015
Being best man, I was required to travel up the day before the wedding to attend the rehearsal. I'd chosen to stay at the gatehouse, which is rented out as a holiday cottage, and was extremely convenient for the church and the reception venue.

I was rather taken with the Gatehouse and embarked on taking photos of most of the interior. Here's our bedroom at the top of the turret.

The gatehouse as seen from the back. Nice little terrace and back garden.

17:13:16
That was, I presume, originally the main door into the gatehouse, although I don't think is really used these days.

17:13:38
Nice patina on this sign, pointing to the church.

The gatehouse in its full glory from the front.

17:14:04
The other side of the archway. The pedestrian gate seems a little superfluous nowadays.

17:14:13
Not sure which coat of arms this is. I believe the Lowry-Corry family were the last aristocratic residents of Edwardstone Hall, but I think this predates them.

Nice to have your own post box.
