Breakfast at the Hilton in Cambridge. Considering we'd normally be in Monaco at this time of year, having breakfast out on the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, this was a rather underwhelming experience.

My favourite thing which doesn't have a word for it - the dappled sunlight on the water's surface reflected onto the underside of a bridge.

The other side of the Bridge of Sighs - note the girls have taken their coats off! I was incredibly pleased with my careful examination of the weather forecast at this point.

A short wander back through Cambridge as we mulled over what to do for lunch.

A dead wasp in the window of the Mill. It had been there yesterday as well.

Back to my local in Cambridge, the Mill - we'd decided for lunch, given the ongoing impossibility of actually getting a table anywhere this weekend, that we'd again get takeaway food, and an accompanying drink from The Mill, and sit somewhere nearby to eat.

While the girls went off to get some takeaway food I took on the responsbility of getting drinks and finding a place to sit.

We ended up walking a little way along the Cam to sit and have our lunch, primarily to get away from wasps.

Erika had a burrito and Chie and I had falafel wraps.

We bought these from one of Cambridge's many sweet shops earlier.

Also Erika chose this - spray on candy. Essentially just malic acid and citric acid in spray form - as a fan of English sparkling wine where such things are in abundance I found this really intriguing.

The Cam, near where we sat for our picnic, as I headed off to big up our bag, and we headed back to the station.

Back in London, Erika doing the Harry Potter Platform 9 3/4 on the actual platform, which does look quite like how it does in the film.

Also the more tourist friendly Platform 9 3/4 setup next to the Harry Potter shop on the station concourse.

Back at home now, Erika trying on her outfit for tomorrow's visit to the Warner Bros Harry Potter studio tour.

I decided to have some English sparkling *cider* in the evening to round off the bank holiday weekend.

As an addendum (because the timestamps got lost) here's a couple of pictures from Chie's phone of me having a go at punting with a quick bit of tuition from our pilot. I almost look like I know what I'm doing here!

I did end up hitting the side a bit, but at least I didn't fall in!
