Glastonbury
Friday 3rd September 2021
We left Devon in the morning to drive back to London, with a long stop off in Glastonbury on the way back.

John's Pictures

09:22:05
Erika's artwork she had made during her time in Devon. I was rather impressed with this.

09:23:59
The bounty of goods Dad sent us home with.

09:51:07
Dad and Jess the dog waving us off.

09:51:08

10:17:59
We stopped off for petrol in Exeter and Erika took a pair of those gloves you get at petrol stations.

10:19:28

11:56:58
Approaching Glastonbury.

12:08:43
We found a side road to park on so we could walk up Glastonbury Tor.

12:09:42
Murals on the way up.

12:11:16
It was quite a steep climb!

12:12:04
A moth on the path.

12:14:02
Erika navigating round a gnarly tree.

12:16:11
Quite hard work going straight up the side of the tor as we did!

12:21:03
Erika literally taking it in her stride.

12:22:30
Nearly at the top now.

12:23:14
Great views from the top.

12:24:04
A guy was playing guitar inside the steeple thing.

12:24:42
Quite a dramatic spot.

12:25:04
Chie and Erika on the top.

12:31:00
Heading back down now.

12:36:41
Avalon Orchard.

12:40:28

13:03:48
Next we headed into the centre of Glastonbury to browse the weird and wonderful shops there.

13:03:52

13:39:55
...and also had lunch, at a vegetarian cafe, obviously.

13:47:28
It was called Rainbows End, and was rather cute I thought.

13:47:35
The food was also nice.

14:05:12
Alleyways of Glastonbury.

14:45:04
The pub looked very appealing, but I abstained thinking Chie might need a hand with the driving later.

14:51:29
Nice old side panels on this book shop / stationer.
