The boat to Eigg.
Eigg June 2000
Taken from the boat in Arisaig harbour.
It looks like it's on fire! Eeek!
Just after we set off. I particularly liked the brushes sticking up on the side of the boat.
Looking ack across the highlands. It was probably a bit too cloudy (and rainy!) to really appreciate this.
A view of Eigg through the mist.
Hmmm... not sure exactly what I was taking a picture of here!
Got one of those brushes in again!
You can really see the Sgurr on Eigg sticking up here.
First signs of habitation!
First picture on the island now, and here's my Dad, who was already there, standing outside the Glebe, which was to be our home for the week.
We went for a walk to the other side of the island, towards Cleadale.
Janie looking on as Dad takes a picture of a wild flower.
A view of Rum, looking foreboding in the distance.
Dad and Janie standing on the beach below Cleadale.
Another view of Rum. Almost looks like you could swim to it!
I spent a bit of time chopping logs for the Glebe, and these are the fruits of my hard work!
Shocking really, not even been on the island a whole day yet, and already having to get back on a computer!
