Eigg June 2000
Good morning Mrs Cow!
Me looking at a cow. Erm.
Dad looking at the house at Galmisdale.
We were going to spend the next few hours trying to get to the top of that!
A view back to the mainland on our way up to the top of the Sgurr. Nice sky!
Nearly caught up with the rest of the party...
Everywhere you looked there were a load of irresistible views.
Wanted to get a picture with me in!
Lovely sky here.
One of the Lochens (as far as I can tell just means mini Loch). I think this is the Loch of the Big Women - identifiable by the little island in the middle. There is a siren like legend attached to this Loch.
Here's me with the previous view behind.
Interesting view down the side of the mountain, you can just about see some old ruins towards the bottom.
Me on top ofthe Sgurr! I think I was the first to the top.
Dad looking out over Muck.
Out across the island.
Some of the rest of the party up on the top.
Another view across the island.
People enjoying the view from the top.
On the way back down. My Dad tells me this is quite a rarity.
A rocky bit.
The house at Galmisdale again.
Inside the little bothy on the side of the Galmisdale house.
Dad relaxing in an old armchair in one of the many rooms of the house.
A look up the staircase.
The little bothy on the side's bathroom! Needs a bit of a clean methinks!
Bedroom above the bothy.
The corridor linking the bothy and the main house.
Outside the house.
A look at the house from the field just below.
Same view again, but with a better view of the bothy on the side.
Now walking down away from the house towards the lodge.
An interesting bit of fungus.
A view towards the lodge - looks totally out of place on Eigg!
A palm tree! This is meant to be me doing that Hawaiian hula dance thing.
The famous chilean fire tree in the lodge gardens.
My Dad the burglar!
In the lodge's kitchen, and it's a bit too dark!
Some celtic phrases up on the wall. Tha mi ag iarraidh cupan ti!
The main corridor upstairs in the lodge.
Dad and Janie on the balcony, upstairs in the lodge, overlooking the chliean fire tree and the rest of the gardens.
Me taking a picture of myself in the mirror.
A piece of an old stone carving found on the island.
The little shop at the harbour, as seen from the beach below.
A view back to the mainland on our way back to the Glebe.
Dad taking another wild flower picture.
