London to Clodock
Friday 30th March 2018
Got the train from London to Bristol in the morning. Had lunch in a yurt, then drove our hire car from there to Abergavenny, where we popped in to see Vera and Robin briefly, before stocking up on supplies at the Waitrose there and then driving to Clodock, where we'd be staying in a cottage the next three nights.

We had got a bit wet outside so I'm drying my hair off here.

The river was quite full and a bit brown.

After dinner I took a stroll around the grounds.

The little stile leading into the churchyard.

19:36:03
The churchyard looking quite atmospheric in the rain and mist.

19:36:42

19:37:12
I walked through the churchyard to get to the local pub - the Cornewall Arms.

19:42:26
What a wonderfully unspoiled pub this is.

19:46:51
Some of the regulars at the Cornewall Arms standing around the tiny servery.

The Cornewall Arms again as I left after my first quick visit.

Back at the cottage later on I was determined to get the fire going properly.

Inside the bread oven. Shame this is no longer in use - would be great for pizza!
