Sunday 9th November 2014
Spent the day with some of Chie's extended family.
Japan November 2014
Chie, Yuka and their Mum preparing for lunch.
I look rather happy here as I'm a big fan of this soy version of kara age.
Soy kara age - sometime referred to as veggie age.
Chie, Erika, Chie's cousin Sato-chan, and her son Kohe-kun, who is about 5 months younger than Erika.
Attempt to take a big group portrait including Chie's aunts and uncle....
...second attempt better, but I seem to be partly cut out!
I popped out after Chie's relatives left to buy the cheapest possible Negroni ingredients I could find from a nearby discount booze shop.
It made a fairly adequate Negroni.
I made pasta for dinner, and we decided to open the bottle of English sparkling wine (Furleigh estate) I'd bought as an omiyage for Chie's Dad.
The family around the table. I love how Erika always joins in with the spirit of things.
