Friday 25th December 2020
Christmas day at home, of course.
London December 2020
Erika starting to open her presents.
Erika with a big present from Santa.
Erika and her stocking.
Evidence that Santa has been.
Coffee beans from Mum.
A map of London trees also from Mum.
The Rupert Annual from Mum.
Personalised marmite from the girls.
Recreation of some closed whisky distilleries from my friend Al.
Chocolates from Robert.
A hamper from Robin.
Erika opening more presents.
Erika finally dressed in her daytime clothes, and looking very Christmassy.
I thought it best to saber a bottle of Sugrue English sparking for the occasion.
After lunch (we were going to have our Christmas dinner in the evening) I took Erika out for a ride around the block on her new scooter.
Nice sky this afternoon.
Erika on her new scooter.
Christmas day Zoom call with the Hawkins family.
I headed out again briefly to try and see a bit of the sunset, there were some really nice pink skies today.
For the evening meal I thought some Burgundy would be appropriate - I've been really enjoying these Nuit St Georges from Philippe Gavignet.
A glass by candlelight while I was waiting for dinner to cook.
Christmas dinner (or at least some of it) on the table.
We had a wellington with some kind of fake meat (purportedly beef themed) as the centrepiece.
Attempted to get a picture of the three of us at the Christmas dinner table.
It took a few attempts.
I think that's as good as it's going to get!
Chie and Erika made a yule log for dessert. This was very good.
