A jaunt down to Petersfield with the usual suspects (and our mutual friend visiting from the US) to visit the idyllic Harrow Inn.
London February 2018
At Petersfield station. Weather was not at its best.
The road leading to the Harrow Inn is called Harrow Lane.
...and here we are at the Harrow Inn.
The interior of the tap room at the Harrow Inn. The public bar was even nicer but I felt we'd be disturbing the locals a bit if we stayed there for more than an initial pint, so we decamped here to eat.
Our group minus me at the corner table.
The food was great, with the slight exception of the tomatoes which were a bit bland. It is February after all, what did we expect?
My Ploughmans was excellent.
Attempt to get a nice photo of me in the pub.
Me at the bar.
Inevitable checking of phones.
Some more exterior shots (I think I went to use the gents, which is wonderfully outside).
Tried to take an arty shot from the gents. Didn't really work.
Alas time to leave now it seems.
Snowdrops in front of the Harrow Inn.
Goodbye the Harrow Inn, I look forward to coming back again one day.
Back down the lane towards Petersfield.
The traditional bottle of English Sparkling Wine on the train on the way back to London.
Went to Deptford when we got back to London, and stopped off at Andrew's house. I refused to go any further than the front door as I imagined all the newly rennovated interiors would make me jealous.
So here's lots of shots of the front door.
