Breakfast in the Regency Cafe with Dad and Janie. Dad had been wanting to come here for a long time, but it had never quite worked out on previous visits to London - so rather a happy occasion to have finally made it!

After waving Dad and Janie off in a taxi, we went for a bit of a wander and were surprised to see Little Ben being removed - apparently it's going to be temporarily put into storage whilst construction work happens around it.

I bought a shirt this morning from Hawes and Curtis. It's the first time to buy one of their shirts, and they all seem to vary in fit, so I tried it on when I got home to see. As I got one with the correct neck size for a change I thought I should actually see what it was like with a tie. So here's my attempt to look like an aloof aristocrat.

I really need a haircut.

I thought I'd also try the jacket from my suit with these beige trousers. Again, definitely a bit of the aloof aristocrat look going on here.

Towards the end of the afternoon, we decided to go to New Malden, where there's a big Korean community, and consequently lots of Korean food shops. So we got the train from Vauxhall station, from where there's an interesting view of the Houses of Parliament.

The camera on my phone apparently has a zoom of sorts.

In New Malden now, and I was pleased to see the popularity of Android amongst Korean phone users.

The main event: Korea Foods - a fantastic Korean supermarket.

I was determined to make kimchi so the most key purchase was this Korean chilli powder.

Dinner that evening.

Chie made these little burger things using Japanese mushrooms and yam.

Some kimchi, although it's far too early in development at this stage to be anything like the real thing.
