Wood Carving

Had a go at wood carving with my new bushcraft knife then later on with a more specialised carving tool.

The knife was for striking the ferrocerium rod, although in practice the little striking plate which came with it was easier to use for this.

Also thought I'd have a go at some wood carving. Made a couple of wooden stakes, then made a start on a couple of rough spoons.

Thanks to a Japanese woodworking tool Chie had I was able to hollow out one of the spoons a bit.
