Had a go at wood carving with my new bushcraft knife then later on with a more specialised carving tool.
Equipment for making a cup of tea out in the garden.
The knife was for striking the ferrocerium rod, although in practice the little striking plate which came with it was easier to use for this.
Camp stove setup.
Practicing feather sticking again.
Also thought I'd have a go at some wood carving. Made a couple of wooden stakes, then made a start on a couple of rough spoons.
A bit more wood carving.
Thanks to a Japanese woodworking tool Chie had I was able to hollow out one of the spoons a bit.
Afternoon stroll to the heath - the barrow.
The view from the barrow.
Bit grey today, but it was nice to be outside nonetheless.
The barrow again once it had got dark.
Back through the woods.
