Wessex Ridgeway - Avebury to Westbury - Day Two
Friday 23rd July 2021
Day two of my walk, a bit of a slog after a not very satisfactory night's sleep.
London July 2021
First light at the spot where I'd eventually found to bivvy down for the night. Hardly slept at all as always, so not long after this I decided to pack up and head off.
An attempt to take a self portrait, but you can barely see me. It was still quite dark.
The spot where I had bivvied down for a few hours.
A couple more parting shots as I headed off on day two of my walk.
The Wessex Ridgeway continued up this track.
Early morning shot of me in my silly hat and the pink sky around sunrise.
The sun popping up over the horizon.
More shots of the early morning sun.
The Imber Range Perimiter path. I quickly grew to find this rather tedious.
Stopped here for a long rest, having been walking over three hours already.
Heading down the hill into Westbury.
The outskirts of Westbury.
Quite pleased to arrive at Westbury station.
My feet were rather sore, my boots having got wet again. I was very pleased of the opportunity to take my boots off.
