Greenwich
Monday 2nd May 2022
May Day Bank Holiday. Chie and Erika were heading to Greenwich with friends, so I tagged along for the boat trip there, and met my two chums who live in that neck of the woods for wine and pie and mash in Greenwich Park.

The original plan was to get the tube to Embankment, then a boat from there, but the tube was out of order so instead we got a taxi to Tower Pier (slightly closer for us by taxi) and got on there.

...and again with the top bit.

10:49:44
Taken from the boat as we were passing under Tower Bridge.

Canary Wharf.

Arriving in Greenwich.

The view of Canary Wharf etc from a part of Greenwich Park.

12:19:35
First bottle - a Morey St Denis. A bit cherry tart.

12:20:12
The two bottles I brought along, on the bench where we sat.

14:03:46
Second bottle, a Vosne Romanee. I much preferred this to the first.

15:47:08
This container had held pie and mash, and while we had momentarily been away from the bench it had been attacked by magpies.

16:05:21
Cardo brought this along.

17:01:13
Haven't seen Cardo in ages! I thought this was a nicely framed shot, with the church in the background. This is definitely the best bench in Greenwich Park.

19:16:51
Later on we went for dinner at the Trafalgar Tavern.

19:16:57
Alas shortly after this I was summoned to go home and deal with a plumbing emergency.
