Daytrip to West Malling in Kent to visit Michelle and Steve.
London November 2011
Chie on the train in her new tweed jacket from Cordings, which I'm delighted to report she seems to have taken a liking to.
The pair of us on the train, in our respective tweed jackets.
After meeting up with Michelle and Steve, we were taken on a tour of orchards to look for leftover apples. The harvest had already happened, and anything left behind t this point was essentially a reject. Alas slightly uninteresting Gala apples to begin with.
These are pollinaters apparently.
Michelle wanted me to take a picture of this fungus.
We also managed to find a pear orchard.
Apples on the tree.
I think these are Jazz. A bit more interesting than the Gala.
Nice big tree.
Grounds of Douces Manor.
The fire at the Five Pointed Star, where we went for a quick pre-lunch snifter.

Me and Chie in the Five Pointed Star.
After lunch, back to Michelle and Steve's for a quick cup of tea and a tour of the garden. Here's the guinea pig.
....and one of the chickens.
We also visited their allotment.
The Bull, quite a nice pub this one.
On the train on the way back.
