Thursday 4th November 2021
Took one of the half bottles (of which I have rather a lot) of Chateau Peyragey to the heath for the sunset this evening.
London November 2021
The view of the bandstand as I arrived on the heath.
Nice candyfloss clouds.
The top of Parliament Hill with more candy floss clouds.
Unfortunately somebody spoiling the atmosphere there.
I'm not sure Sauternes absolutely has to be a dessert wine, so I tried it this evening as an aperitif.
It was rather lovely in an al fresco environment, with the sunset.
Alas though I didn't have any strawberries for the classic pairing.
The sunset reflecting on one of the tall buildings of Canary Wharf, making it look a bit like it's on fire.
There it is again.
Getting dark now.
One last look at the London skyline before I headed home.
Later on at home I remembered I had this (as yet unopened) Ardbeg Uigeadail, a present from Al.
