Here are the humble beginnings of what could become quite an elaborate section on my passion for whisky. At the moment it's pretty much just a set of links to other parts of the site where whisky has cropped up in some form or other.

- Largely responsible for getting me into whisky, and still a firm favourite.

- I actually first tasted Bruichladdich in Japan, where in a tiny little shop I came across a slightly unusual 15 year old bottling.

- Another Islay malt, the only one which (to date) I have never actually owned a bottle of, although have drank on a number occasions.

- Apparently one of the oldest distilleries of all.

- Handy to know about if you're ever in Paris and in need of a good malt. I've never actually been but have included the link here at least in part because I'm rather fond of the shop's name - does it remind you of a certain website by any chance?
