Lightwave Tutorials

Welcome to Rob Lang's Lightwave 8 tutorials. For users of older versions of Lightwave, some of the techniques may still apply, although locations of tools and shortcuts might be different.
The tutorials are list in order. For the Beginner Tutorials, this order is particularly important because the early tutorials include much of the information that you will need later on. Later tutorials demonstrate a particular technique and so can be followed in any order.
Lightwave comes in two parts, the Modeler and Layout (the renderer). Some tutorials focus on one or the other but many focus on their operation as a whole. Where possible, a tutorial is listed as concentrating on either the Modeller or Layout.
In some cases, you might need to use a graphics program to produce textures. The preferred graphics program used here is GIMP, a free image manipulation tool.
