Il est beau, mon fils...!

Yes, I decided to delete my last entry cose the comments were taking a wrong turn. My sense of humour is particular, I admit it. Very French in spirit, that is light-hearted and provocative. But how far can you go ? For my part, I don't believe I crossed the line. And I'm not saying others did. But one has to know when it's time to stop and, precisely, draw the line. Some comments were too obscure to my small mind, which caused puzzlement and led to misinterpretation (or so I hope).
Anyway, some people claimed I was overeactive. The way they expressed it proved that they were equally touchy... ! Pity.

Last Sunday it was Brinsley's fifth birthday. He got many gifts, including the playmobile castle of his dreams, on the condition that I would from then on talk to him exclusively in English. He took it pretty well as I was sensible enough to prepare him for it, mentally speaking. Let's hope it'll work.

Brinsley is growing quickly man!! As for the entry, I really do not know what's the story about, would you send me a mail to explain... :P Generally speaking blogs like the ones here are all quite personal and might lead to some reactions from the public or the writers... It's part of the game...

Really Lox, it isn't worth talking about it. I was not offended, nor did I offend anyone (at least it was not my intention). It's just that I didn't know what to make of some comments which I now understand were meant to be funny (and actually turned to be rather odd). No big deal.

Yes indeed - Brinsley is growing in to a fine young man!! The girls had better watch out!! :D

Looking back I think the blog/comments issue became confusing when misunderstandings crept it. I was never sure if I was the only "native" English speaker there. It might just have been a translation thing...?
