Breathtaking news...
Hello gals and guys
I feel I must apologize. You know, about me being silent for so long. Some may have rejoiced (at last, the damn frog turned mute! ), others probably wondered whether I was snobbing them. But I guess the majority didn't even notice my absence (I feel so insignificant - sob!)...
Either way, here I am! In good shape, though excessively tired.
Tired because of my job which is demanding (teaching day and evening classes, never home before 10 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, nor before 8.30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays).
Tired because of my studies which I resumed and firmly intend to complete by August 2008 (landscape architect).
Tired because of my evil son who does not know the meaning of a lie-in...!
Otherwise, nothing worth telling you. I sent my latest script (My Grandfather's Diary) to the BBC "writersroom", reference number 7967. Will get an answer by June (that is: in 4 months time!). Once again, I must thank Nigel for his kind collaboration (cheking spelling and syntax).
Doing a lot of gardening. Conceiving plans, working on several projects, using for the purpose the garden of a friend as a test field... Thanks Michèle (and Pierric!).
The pic you'll find above is the scale model of a geometric 'French' garden I had to conceive. I was required to use all kinds of 'salvaged' materials. Nothing tremendous...
Found a nice wine dealer who shares my views on ecology and organic food. Some may think that ecologists (environmentalists) are nothing but naive day dreamers. Well, for my part, I think the contrary. I think ecologists are the most responsible people on earth, gifted with a deep sense of civic responsibility. I believe it is wrong to assimilate true ecologists with the so called 'left wing'. One has to bear in mind that environment is not the prerogative of a sole party. It is a world issue which concerns and involves everyone on this small fragile planet. Many however are too small-minded, selfish, ignorant or simply short-sighted to understand that. I guess they will start responding only when they'll be 'facing the wall'. And I fear it will be too late. Silly people, really.
One last thing: I'm drunk. Totally (well... nearly) off my face! Cheers!
Oh and my mother-in-law, who set to clean her fish tank (getting rid of its ugly, toxic, plastic water plants on my advice) gave her last surviving red fish to my son Brinsley. Brinsley being four years old, who d'you think has to clean the water from the glass bowl which serves as the new home for the damn fish?!!! Me, of course! I should let it die and forget the whole business. But I can't, you see. I'm too respectful. To my eyes, any kind of life is worth a treasure. Pathetic, isn't it? Anyway, we'll give (or release) the fish at the first opportunity, I swear it!
p.s. I still love to pee in bathroom sinks. Bad habit which I indulge in (and cannot manage to quit)...
