Sunday on Bardsey
Sunday 1st August 1999
Quiet morning, wandered round the island, went for a swim I think. Afternoon tea at the farmhouse, then met the neighbours and an impromptu evenng of music before sleeping outside by the bay, sang to sleep by Manx Shearwaters.

The island's ducks go out for a morning stroll.

12:54:50
Yet another of those irresistible views down across the island.

16:11:23
One side of Mynyth Enlli...

16:11:32
...and the other side.

17:03:01
Janie and Nick enjoy some tea and a cake at farmhouse.

17:18:29
Alex and Luke also enjoying tea and cake.

17:28:38
Careg Bach (Little Rock), one of the only original island dwellings still in use.

18:49:02
Nick cooks a hearty feast...

18:50:14
...whilst I help.

20:47:38
Our nextdoor neighbours (the other half of Ty Nant) pop in for a cup of tea and a spot of music.

20:55:23
The sun sets...

21:10:29
Sheep out to appreciate the sunset.

21:12:02
The music continues outside. (Sound soon to come)

23:35:41
As it was a nice night, we decided to sleep out, in the little bay just down from Ty Nant. This picture was taken with a flash, and its interesting as it shows us the faces people make when its dark and they think no-one is looking...

23:36:28
Nick being the hardy sort that he is needs no sleeping bags or ground sheets (but he did go back to the house in the middle of the night).

23:37:07
Where we sleep we were near some Manx Shearwater burrows, and many flew overhead as we were going to sleep.

23:40:29
An even better Shearwater picture. They have a very particular cry, which makes it pretty difficult to sleep, especially when theres a few hundred of them about. (Sound soon to come).
