Gallette des Rois
Tuesday 11th January 2022
Chie became oddly obsessed with Gallette des Rois ("King's Cake?") this month, and we had a total of three, today's being the first. Also I went to the heath for a bit later on while Erika was at her woodworking class.

12:51:59
Looking for any signs of snowdrops flowering in the garden.

12:52:04
Not quite there yet.

15:40:53
Chie, Erika and the gallete des rois.

15:41:03

15:41:09
Close up on the gallete des rois. This one was from Laduree.

17:01:10
A bit of a misty / atmospheric evening on the heath.

17:04:52
I quite like this sort of gloom though.

17:06:42
...and besides anything else it usually gives me the place all to myself.

17:07:35
Gloomy trees.

17:10:16
Gloomy shot of the barrow from afar.

17:10:57
Closer to the barrow.

17:11:12
...and with Night Sight on, making it look artificially bright.

17:13:48
Brought along some Gavignet Nuits St Georges Les Pruliers.

17:14:15
This is the 2012.

17:16:50
More bottle shots.

17:19:16

17:19:27
Challenging to get the lighting right... Oh and now there's a dribble of wine down the label. Ho, hum.

17:39:49
Lovely gloom.

17:52:14
I can't recommend this pairing.

18:02:49
More gloomy shots of the barrow as I was heading off to go and pick Erika up.
