Evening Stroll to Hampstead Heath
Tuesday 16th June 2020
I went for an evening stroll to Hampstead Heath, to catch a bit of the sunset, in the run-up to the summer solstice.
London June 2020
On the way to the heath. Nice sky this evening.
I liked the way the evening sun shone through the branches of this tree here.
Nice sky atop the heath.
Headed over to the barrow. Not actually a particularly good vantage point for catching the sunset (nowhere on the heath really seems ideal - there's always trees in the way!).
Looking down from the top of Parliament Hill - the sun seems to set in an odd direction here - this definitely isn't west! North west at best!
The London skyline through that gap in the trees near the top of Parliament Hill.
I don't think many other people had even noticed it.
Looking back up Parliament Hill as the sun disappeared behind the trees.
Near the cafe, actually as good as the top of Parliament Hill for seeing the sunset as it turns out.
The roses may be over on the corner of College Lane but the spot remains picturesque, especially with this evening's sky.
