Thursday 10th June 2021
Attempted to get some photos of the partial solar eclipse this morning, a bit challenging given the cloudy weather but I just about managed to get a glimpse of it.
London June 2021
I took a lot of unremarkable photos of clouds to start with, without any real clear sign of the eclipse.
I thought perhaps focusing on something else might help, so I took a selfie or two.
...and finally though, after persisting for a while, I actually managed to get a few half decent photos.
Although it's obviously not the "ring of fire" which had been promised (in fairness think you needed to be in a different part of the world for that).
This is probably about as good as it got in terms of the photos.
Or this perhaps.
Later on I went for a short stroll to the heath, and once again paused to enjoy the lovely roses at the corner of College Lane.
Near the entrance to the heath.
The usual view of the bandstand.
The view from near the top of Parliament Hill.
...and back to the bandstand again.
