Some Pommard on the heath while Erika was at her woodworking class. I can't say I'm really a fan of Pommard.

John's Pictures

16:14:52
The view of the bandstand as I arrived, a little after sunset.

16:18:41
The top of Parliament Hill.

16:20:17
Night Sight shot from the bench set a little back from the main viewpoint.

16:22:26
I also took a pointless timelapse here.

16:22:50
More Night Sight shots of the London skyline with people in the foreground.

16:23:15
The definition of the skyline here is pretty good considering the fading light. Unfortunately all a bit far away.

16:23:30

16:23:58
A bottle of Pommard from Tom the wine merchant, part of the mixed case of "other" Burgundy I ordered a while back.

16:24:01
I was a little underwhelmed - the fruit shows more as blackcurrant rather than cherry, and the mouthfeel wasn't as silky as my favourite Burgundies from Gevrey Chambertin or Nuits St Georges. A bit lacking in acidity, and a bit of spice which I didn't particularly want.

16:27:27
More night time views of the London skyline.

16:58:29
The moon.

16:59:34
Attempts to take photos of the moon are of course always fruitless endeavours.

17:36:10
Continuing my series of upmarket wine with downmarket snacks.

18:04:20
Heading to pick Erika up from her woodworking class now.
