Heath with Andrew
Friday 19th November 2021
Andrew was in my neck of the woods, so came and joined me for wine on the heath this evening. We also slightly oddly had a couple of dehydrated camping meals while there.

I took this earlier in the day to send to Andrew, I had accidentally ordered the meat version of this orzo bolognese rather than the vegan version, and intended to palm it off on him.

The first wine of the evening - a test of the D'Urberville (see what I did there?). This was very good I thought, lovely creamy notes and citrus/apple zing.

The London skyline. A bit grey this evening.

17:18:40
I brought along my new gas camping stove, and used it to boil a billycan of water so we could rehydrate a couple of camping meals.

Here's the camp stove in action.

Later on, wandering the heath in the dark.

The barrow, taken using Night Sight (without which it would have been pitch black).

20:18:46
More ESW later on - Sugrue's Trouble with Dreams 2015 which I impressively found in a shop very close to the heath.

I saw a fox a bit later on, although you can barely make it out here.

20:40:52
Andrew had gone home by this point but it was lovely being on the heath in the dark.

21:21:40
I think I might have accidentally put the flash on here.

21:22:10
That's a bit more natural.

22:11:24
The barrow in the dark, as I started slowly heading home.

22:17:59
Amazing how much light can be picked up in Night Sight - it looks like dusk here, but was in fact pitch black.

22:25:29
A rubbish photo of the London skyline.

22:44:20
Attempted to take a selfie here, but it's too dark.

22:58:01
On the way home, at the time I thought this scene was more interesting than it really was in hindsight.
