Two Trips to the Heath
Sunday 21st November 2021
Chie and Erika were still away for the weekend, and I made two trips to the heath today - one just before lunch and one late afternoon / early evening. In between a quick Sunday roast at a nearby pub.

Nice sky this morning, with some interesting clouds.

11:41:08
The clouds getting more little and fluffy as I approached the top of Parliament Hill.

11:42:20
Nice bit of morning sun there as I took in the view of the London skyline from the top of Parliament Hill.

11:43:08
The heath is always notably busier at weekends.

11:44:52
Taking a look at some autumnal trees.

11:45:12

11:46:42
The barrow and a couple of nearby trees.

11:48:11

12:00:40
Looking into the Scots pines atop the barrow.

12:06:17
More trees.

12:11:44
The view of the London skyline as I headed off the heath.

12:11:47

12:13:28
The bandstand as I was leaving... for now.

12:36:41
The vegan Sunday roast at the Junction tavern. I'm not a huge fan of the the Wellington thing they have as a centrepiece (almost feels like health food with all the beans and the spinach etc) but it arrives quickly and it's easy.

15:50:00
Later on, back to the heath again in time for sunset, with some pink candy floss clouds this time.

15:51:16

15:55:07
Atop Parliament Hill.

15:55:50
Not the most eventful sunset, it was clouding over a bit by this point, but still it's always nice to be on the heath around this time of day.

16:00:57
A bit of pink sky over there.

16:02:56
The top of Parliament Hill was a bit crowded so I decided to head over to the barrow instead. I tried to get a shot of today's bottle on the way there to see if I could catch a bit of pink sky in the background.

16:30:20
The barrow looking a bit crepuscular.

16:31:20
Oh, confusingly looks like I was heading away from the barrow here then?

16:35:37
Back to the top of Parliament Hill it seems.

16:35:45

17:05:54
On the way home - just a quick visit to the heath this evening it seems. College Lane looking higgledy piggledy and picturesque as always.
