Early Evening Stroll
Tuesday 8th September 2020
I went for an early evening stroll and some more Chateau Musar on Hampstead Heath.
London September 2020
The usual view of the bandstand and the London skyline on arrival at the heath. Bit cloudy at this point.
Some blue sky trying to break through as I passed the top of Parliament Hill.
I instinctively headed to my usual spot - the Barrow.
Nice seeing the evening sun shine through the trees atop the barrow.
The view from where I sat.
Today I tried a bottle of Chateau Musar's Hochar 2017 - another of their slightly younger, slightly cheaper ranges. I like these younger Musars - fruitier and more floral, the spice character gentler and more fragrant.
I think I was heading off at this point.
The barrow as I was leaving - nice blue sky now.
The top of Parliament Hill.
Some sort of outdoor fitness class going on here.
Nice view of the London skyline now.
Zoomed in on the London skyline a bit.
Can quite clearly see St. Paul's along with, unfortunately, a load of ugly modern high rise buildings.
Whilst out I heard the girls were having dinner with friends so I stopped off for an al fresco pizza at an Italian restaurant on the way home.
Nice terrace of houses on Highgate Road opposite where I sat for dinner.
Back at home now, attempting some night photography.
Not terrible, looks a bit artificial but you can see a few stars.
