Fellowship of the Ring

Posted on 2009/03/15 10:32:39 (March 2009).

[Friday 13th March]
Chie was out in the evening, so I stayed home and watched the first of the Lord of the Rings films, which I'd recently acquited from HMV for the bargain price of 15 quid. Very enjoyable.

I'd say that the film version is one of the few "films of the book" that come close to the book itself in its realisation, John. Jackson certainly did a marvellous job.

I agree he did it in a very good way, quite close to the book although they skipped the latest part of the story where the hobbits go back to the Shire, but that was boring anyway... :D
